Frühes Aufstehen in Balule. Der Mietwagen muss abgegeben werden und gegen den Stefanwagen 2 eingetauscht werden. Dazwischen gilt es noch zu Frühstücken und Rugby zu schaun. (Derzeit ist die Weltmeisterschaft in Japan und England spielt gegen die eigentlich übermächtigen ALL Blacks – die neuseeländische Nationalmannschaft-. Und knockt sie buchstäblich aus dem Halbfinale. Morgen spielt Südafrika gegen Wales um den Einzug ins Finale. In Südafrika wird wohl niemand mehr auf der Straße sein. Ähnlich wenn Deutschland im Halbfinale um die Weltmeisterschaft steht. )

Bei 40° Außentemperatur ist ein Sprung in den Pool unumgänglich. Mit anschließendem kühlen Windhoek Draught (Gebraut nach deutschem Reinheitsgebot) und einem Blick aufs Wasserloch.

Gegen 1600 Uhr bietet James an einen privaten Gamedrive zu machen. Und so verlassen James, Sonia, Ihr Cousin Roi und ich Cambridge 31 und sehen bald nur LÖWEN LÖWEN LÖWEN.  Es beginnt mit einem Männchen am Wasserloch, irgendwann passieren uns mehr als 12 weibliche Löwen mit Jungen und endet mit 8 Löwen incl. Pascha an einem toten Zebra. Das innerhalb von ca. 1 Std Fahrt.

Getting up early in Balule. The rental car must be handed in and exchanged for the Stefanwagen 2. In between, there is still breakfast and rugby to watch. (The current World Cup in Japan and England is against the really overpowering ALL Blacks - and they are literally knocking them out of the semi-finals. South Africa are against Wales for the finals tomorrow Similarly, when Germany is in the semi-finals for the World Cup.)

At 40 ° outside temperature, a dip in the pool is inevitable. Followed by a cool Windhoek Draft (brewed according to the German Purity Law) and a view of the waterhole.

At 1600, James offers to make a private game drive. And so James, Sonia, her cousin Roi and I leave Cambridge 31 and soon see only LION LIONS LIONS. It starts with a male at the waterhole, at some point more than 12 female lions with cubs and ends with 8 lions including Pasha on a dead zebra. That within about 1 hour drive.
